Follow the steps below to add a RocketForm to WordPress

Step1: Set Your Target URL

For the form to appear on your page, ensure that your target URL is set within your account.

Go to your form > "Add to Site" > Then add your URL to the "Target Pages" section

  • DO NOT include www
  • If you're adding the form across all pages then structure the URL like this:https://domain.com/*
  • Always include * after the trailing slash

Step 2: Add the RocketForm Pixel to WordPress

The pixel script is what will allow the form to work on Wordpress. There are quite a few different ways to do this. You can hardcode the script right into your template, you can add the script using a plugin or you can use Google Tag manager.

The Plugin Method:

<script async type="text/javascript" src="https://www.api.useleadbot.com/lead-bots/get-pixel-script.js"></script>
  • Paste the pixel in the Header section inside of the plugin.

So it should look something like this if you're using the Insert Headers and Footers Plugin:

The Google Tag Manager Method:

If you already have Google Tag Manager installed on your WordPress site and if you would rather connect RocketForms that way, then here's how to do it:

  • Sign in to Google Tag Manager
  • Open the GTM Container that's connected with your website
  • Setup a New Tag
  • Choose "Custom HTML"
  • Paste the Pixel into the HTML body area and set "Tag Firing Options" to UNLIMITED

  • Choose which pages you want the Pixel to display on. If you want RocketForms to work across your entire site, choose "All Pages"
  • Save and Publish

*** Important Note** That's all you need to do to get the pop-up form to work on your WordPress site. If you're also looking to use the embedded form or a click-pop then please follow the instructions below:

Optional Install Instructions (embedded form or click-pop)

If you would like to embed your form on a specific page, or if you would like to open the form from a button click, then keep reading.

1) Embed a form on a Page

  • Ensure that the RocketForms Pixel is installed and working
  • Ensure that your display mode is set to embeddable inside of your account.

  • Copy the embed code below

  • Paste the embed code anywhere on your page. This will be different based on your theme. In most cases, you'll need to find some sort of custom HTML block to paste the code into. If you're using the standard WordPress editor then simply paste the embed code into the box like below and click "Publish"
  • Repeat for any page where you want the embedded form to appear

2) Open form With the Click of a Button

  • Ensure that the Pixel is installed and working

Locate the button that will trigger the form. You will need to update the button class and URL

  • Set the button class to: leadforms-trigger-el
  • Set the URL to: #
  • Example button code
<a href="#" class="leadforms-trigger-el">Get Fast FREE Quote</a> <style> .leadforms-trigger-el { box-shadow: 0px 0px 8px -2px #54a3f7; background-color:#2b8dfe; border-radius:3px; display:inline-block; cursor:pointer; color:#ffffff; font-family:Arial; font-size:20px; font-weight:bold; padding:19px 31px; text-decoration:none; } .leadforms-trigger-el:hover { background-color:#196ccc; } .leadforms-trigger-el:active { position:relative; top:1px; } </style>
